- Apply for Installments of NHI Premiums
Any insured with an NHI premium of NT$2,000 or more may open the “E-Counter/Personal Inquiry and Settings/Apply for Easy Installment Plan for NHI Premiums”function of the APP to apply for installments whenever needed. A minimum payment of NT$826 can be made each month (each installment) for at most 12 installments.
- Making Premium Payments
Log in to “E-Counter,” click “Pending Premium Payments” in the “Personal Inquiry and Settings” service area, select the year and month of NHI premiums to be paid, and click “Make Payments.” People can select the “convenience store mobile barcode” and make a payment at any of the four major convenience stores.
- Check NHI Premium Subsidies
The NHI enrollees may find out whether they have received a subsidy by opening the “E-Counter” function of the NHI APP.
- Apply for a Replacement NHI Card
Those in the same NHI account including the insured and their dependents such as parents, children, and spouse can apply for an NHI card through the NHI APP on their phone if their NHI card is damaged or lost, or the photo on the NHI card need to renew.
- Check for Repetitive Enrollments in Insurance
People may check their enrollment records on E-counter/ Personal Inquiry and Settings/Search Enrollment Records on the NHI APP.
- Keep Your Dependents Insured While Temporally Unemployed And Switching Jobs
Those who are between jobs and have no suitable individuals such as spouses or adult children to depend on can keep themselves insured by using the NHI APP to enroll in. Please go to the E-Counter in the APP, and click the “The Municipal Office Insured” to online apply for NHI through the municipal office of their registered household.
- Apply for Your Proof of Enrollment
People may select the “E-Counter/Personal Inquiry and Settings/Search Enrollment Records” and download documents which include the name of the recent insured unit, enrollment date, date of transfer, and other information. If you need a proof of NHI enrollment in English, you can also use the NHI APP and select “E-Counter/Enrollment Proof/English Version“ to receive the proof of enrollment through email.
- Check Catastrophic Illness Eligibility or Application Results
Patients may check their catastrophic illness eligibility or application results under “Catastrophic Illness Application Progress” in “Catastrophic Illness Inquiry” of the NHI APP. In addition, patients may enter “My Health Bank” on the app, then go to “Personal Records” and click “Catastrophic Illness Certificate” to see the valid period of the catastrophic illness eligibility.
